Back to TopThe City of Mountain Home is committed to compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act and is dedicated to providing equal access to all City-sponsored programs, services and activities for citizens with disabilities. Any citizen needing an auxiliary aid or service, or a modification of policies or procedures in order to participate in a City activity may contact the City’s ADA Coordinator at 208-587-2104, or appropriate City department. In accordance with the requirements of Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (“ADA”) and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, the City of Mountain Home will not discriminate against qualified individuals with disabilities on the basis of disability in admission or access to its programs, services or activities. Notice Under the American With Disabilities Act Policy Regarding Nondiscrimination on the Basis of Disability The City of Mountain Home will generally, upon request, provide appropriate aids and services leading to effective communication for qualified persons with disabilities so they can participate equally in the City of Mountain Home’s programs, services and activities, including qualifies sign language interpreters, documents in large print, and other ways of making information and communications accessible to people who have speech, hearing or vision impairments. The City of Mountain Home will make all reasonable modifications to policies and practices to ensure that people with disabilities have an equal opportunity to enjoy all of its programs, services and activities. ADA Reasonable Modification Policy ADA Reasonable Modification Request Form The City of Mountain Home will not charge an individual with a disability or any group of individuals with disabilities to cover the cost of providing auxiliary aids/services or reasonable modifications of policies. The ADA does not require the City of Mountain Home to take any action that would fundamentally alter the nature of its programs or services, or impose an undue financial or administrative burden. Any individual who believes he or she has been discriminated against on the basis of disability, in the provision of services, programs or activities by the City of Mountain Home can file a grievance in accordance with the grievance procedures form or by contacting the City’s ADA/Section 504 Coordinator.
