GOVERNOR LITTLE TO JOIN MOUNTAIN HOME FOR A RIBBON CUTTING
Mountain Home, Idaho — On August 2nd, at 11:00 a.m. the Mountain Home Adult Training Academy (MHATA) and Elmore Development LLC will host a ceremonial Ribbon Cutting in honor of the grand opening of 295 Townsquare.
The 295 Townsquare Building includes classroom space for Mountain Home's first trades school, which provides apprenticeship programs for carpenters, electricians, HVAC, ironworkers, welders and more. In addition, the building provides commercial sites to help promote commerce and community activity downtown.
The project aligns directly with Governor Little’s Launch Program and Mountain Home is excited to host Governor Little for this event.
The building has seen many developments, originally “Tindall’s Furniture” the building was constructed in 1962 and later became a department store called “Kings”. The Mountain Home Urban Renewal Agency (MHURA) bought the building in 2012 and then leased it to Beall's Department Store until February 2020. In 2021, MHURA requested proposals to redevelop the building and selected the proposal from Elmore Development LLC and its partner Mountain Home Adult Training Academy.
“This development showcases how Urban Renewal Districts benefit communities and how public-private partnerships can provide opportunities for all” says Brock Cherry, Community Development Director.
On August 2nd at 11:00 am at 295 N 2nd East, we invite the public to join the Mountain Home Adult Training Academy as they officially open the doors of 295 Townsquare to the public.
