Idaho Power Issues a Possible Public Safety Power Shut Off Notice
Idaho Power is closely monitoring weather conditions and evaluating the potential need for a public safety power shutoff (PSPS) event to keep your communities safe. I am writing to give you advance warning of a possible event given the nature of your business and the critical role it plays in our community.
Right now, weather conditions point to a possible PSPS outage event starting between 2:00pm and 10:00PM on July 24th. If a PSPS becomes necessary, the outage duration is based on the length of the weather event plus the time needed to patrol our lines to ensure we can safely re-energize them.
We will provide additional updates as we continue to monitor this weather event.
