Volunteer Opportunities

Thousands of hours of volunteer assistance are given each year through activities such as coaching youth sports programs, adding with special events, and helping with projects in the parks. Many programs and services would not be possible without the assistance of committed volunteers.

Benefits to Volunteering

Becoming a volunteer for the Mountain Home Recreation Department offers great personal benefits, including a sense of accomplishment, personal growth, and a sense of ownership in the community.

Volunteers experience personal satisfaction knowing that their efforts are helping to improve the quality of life in the great community of Mountain Home. Volunteers may also gain valuable knowledge and experience that can assist them in realizing personal, educational or professional goals.

Youth Soccer Coaches

Use your talents to encourage, guide and train young athletes, ages 4 to 12! This league features two practices and one game each week. Practices should include drills to help children develop motor skills and improve coordination. Most importantly, City of Mountain Home soccer leagues emphasize teamwork, fair play, self-confidence, and fun. All kids play! Volunteer coaches are guided and trained to work with children, build skills, and encourage character development.
