MOUNTAIN HOME TO OPEN FIRST OUTDOOR FITNESS COURT OF ITS KIND IN IDAHO

Mountain Home, Ida. — On June 16th, at 1:00 pm, the City of Mountain Home, in partnership with local community donors and the National Fitness Campaign (NFC), will be unveiling the City’s new Outdoor Fitness Court on the Mountain Home Walking Path.

The fitness court is located at the corner of North 3rd East and McMurtrey Road and is open for those 14 and older. After the ribbon cutting ceremony, community members can explore the fitness court and join ambassadors in free training demos.

Mountain Home will be home to the first NFC Outdoor Fitness Court in Idaho. It is an open-air wellness center, free to use by the public. The court features seven functional training zones that allows users to leverage their own body weight to get a complete work out. New users can download the free Fitness Court App that will transform your workout with a mobile coach.

This project was made possible by the support of the local community. In addition to grant dollars, funding for the project was collected through a public-private partnership of city funds as well as numerous local private sponsors, who will be recognized on the primary wall of the fitness facility. Fundraising for the fitness court was done by the Parks and Recreation team, with St. Luke’s Elmore and Pioneer Federal Credit Union serving as the primary corporate sponsors.

On June 16th at 1:00 p.m. on the corner of N 3rd E and McMurtrey Road, we invite the public to join the City of Mountain Home Parks and Recreation team and our sponsors to celebrate the grand opening of this major milestone of Mountain Home.
